Today I ran an 8 hour timed trail race on a 7 mile loop of single track mtb trail. I have to brag on my 12 year old daughter a little. She offered to run a loop with me even though she hadnt run more than 3 miles in a couple of months and hasnt been running trails as of late. She was amazing! She pushed me through some tough stuff, kept up good conversation to distract me and had a super positive attitude even though her ankles started to get sore after about 4 miles. She told me if I could run 31 miles she could suck it up for 7 ;) She helped me get my goal of a 50k + an extra mile and gave me the most enjoyable 7 miles of any race Ive ever run. Heres my favorite race pic ever (were experts?!?) Run with your kids, youll not regret it :)
