Today I received Congressman Sam Graves Annual District Survey. There were many concerns, however, one stuck out to me the most. #3 asks: Having seen Obamacare implemented in Missouri, do you approve or disapprove of the law? I called his DC office and asked, How has Obamacare been implemented in our state? The aide (who referred to it by its actual name The Affordable Health Care Act) was quick to state that through taxes and other ways it has been implemented. Right! Weve paid the tax to benefit from it, but weve not received the help because the Missouri legislature has failed to expand Medicaid! Graves has written the questions to lead to the answers he wants in order to justify the political decisions hes making to play to his base, instead of truly work toward a solution.
