Today I received the following request from SARS: Good Day Mr Prinsloo Please provide me with the following information regarding the 02/2014 Diesel Refund: • Diesel Invoices • Logbook showing opening and closing litres • Capacity of diesel tanks on the farm • Are diesel claimed on usage or total litres purchased If you have any enquiries please contact me. As the official making the request identified herself as a woman, I replied as follows: Sorry lady, I am a retired educator and have never farmed. I do use whiskey though, but don’t keep any log of consumption. Her prompt reaction: Thank you for letting me know, enjoy your whiskey
