Today I spent hours with one of my new friends who is battling cancer multiple times, and she is an inspiration to us all...thank you for the prayers and please keep them both in your thoughts from time to time if you are so inclined. This friend today, basically knows that she has less than 10 years, the usual time frame is 3-6 wherein the cancer returns and there is no successful treatment to prevent another re occurrence (remission is up to 3 years). Two remissions is the most known to anyone with this form of cancer, again, lasting up to 6 years then the timeline is three years maximum to survive after that. she has three kids. She is younger than me and she is a trooper, positive and spiritual. Fifteen years ago she battled a different cancer, twice and is a survivor of that war....Now she is dealing with this. I am honored to have gotten to know her today and look forward to more time in her amazing company! She is an awesome Mom, as many of my friends are! (thanks for this long post, if youre even still reading it! and for the prayers for these friends
