Today I started a rag quilt for my grandson. And I just sat back and thought, holy cow, I have found a part of myself that has been missing. The woman who works with her hands. This morning I shoveled ten yards of sand and gravel for my driveway, came in and started sewing. I miss the artist, the craftsperson, the maker, I became the doer and the knower, . I think today I rediscovered a very important part of myself.
