Today, I substituted at a friends day/care while she took care of some family business. The children were sitting at the table, eating their breakfast snack. Some of them, approx. 3-4 yrs. old, turned around, and were asking me, who are you, what is your name, why are you here today.... etc...... ANYONE who knows me, knows I am a practical joker, and always telling kids funny things, (sometimes, it has gotten exaggerated, however, I guess I get that gift from my grandpa goodwin ;) ) Anyway, my answer to them, right off the top of my head was.... I am Santa Claus wife, and he sent me here to make sure you were all being good, so Ill be watching over everyone today to see how good you all are.... smiles went across their faces, and they all sat politely at the table, eating their meal. Lunch time came, and the same thing.....THOSE KIDDOS were awesome!! This evening, about 5 pm, as one of the little boys was leaving with his Mom, riding on her hip.... As they went out the door, he turned around real quick, SMILED real big, and pointed his finger at me, and said You saw me being good!!!!! I pointed my finger back at him, and said I surely did see you being good!!!..... THEN, I REMEMBERED what I had told them this morning!!! Bahahahaha, kids are so funny~~~ Im sure he thinks he has a good record now, and can expect a great haul this Christmas!! :D
