Today I took my daughter to the Dentist. When they called her back I naturally got up and went back with her. After I got back there the Dr. walked by and told me I had to leave that I could not be back there with my daughter because she was not 7 yrs old. I was angry with how he spoke to me and treated me. It was very rude and disrespectful. The receptionist could see that I was very upset with it. The receptionist apologized for his behavior. I told her it was not her place to apologize for his actions. Then she proceeds to tell me that I should try working with him. He is just as bad with them as he was with me. I told her that this was the last time I would be there that she could just file her chart with the dead files or no longer files cuz I would not be back she said she understands. I told her that my daughter is still not old enough to make decisions for herself and he could not make decisions for her medically. And the nurse said what the Dr. did was very wrong professionally. The Dr. said he wanted to see her again in a couple of weeks. I just shook my head and she knew what I meant by it and just nodded and said she understood. I have never had a Dr.: 1) tell I could not be with my child, 2) be so disrespectful and rude. I am not sure how to remedy this professionally but I am looking into what can be done.
