Today I want to look at a slightly different angle of God Loving His people. I want to look at His correction of His people. We all know what it’s like to be corrected, chastened, have trials in our life. But when God “disciplines” us, He also gives a promise. It’s a good example of how we should correct our children too. Proverbs 3:12—“For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” Deuteronomy 8:5—“Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chastenth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.” James 1:12—“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation. For when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the ord hath promised to them that love him.” There is great reward if we can make it through what God puts in our path. It might seem like we are drowning, struggling, and just not doing so well, but if we hang on to God and His promises we will have great reward and see great blessings in our life. Here is a present day example. My husband has not worked the past 5 weeks. But the bills are still due, and we still have household things to buy. You know what? I don’t stress out anymore about how we are going to afford to live for the month. I just pray and ask God to provide for us in some unique way. HE ALWAYS DOES. As of yesterday, every single bill for the month of July was paid. It is so awesome to see God work. When I sit back and let God be in charge awesome things happen.
