Today I was fortunate to be able to participate in the #angelintheoutfield (Lane Azlin) Softball Tourney. This video although quite fuzzy from being a bootleg shows me in the Homerun Derby. At one point I ask the score keeper how many swings I have left and she say 2. I hit 2 consecutive HRs and remain at the plate. After the 2 swings it is said thats 10 Gary...to which I replied let me have 1 more...Why? You may ask. Well because I was reluctant to participate at first but I felt the need to honor a voice I heard say Go ahead Coach; Show them you can hit it over the fence...and that 1 more swing I took was for my little buddy Lane and although it wasnt one of the more towering Homers I hit; it cleared the fence. That one was for you and to be honest they were all for you. Miss you and not a day goes by that you dont cross my mind. #dingersforLane
