Today I was in line at Walmart checking out my over flowing cart of Christmas presents for the club kids. An older lady pulled her cart up behind me and asked if that was my Christmas shopping. I explained to her that I worked for the Boys & Girls Club. She started asking where we get our funding... I told her through some grants but mostly private donors... She then asked if she could contribute towards my purchase today. I told her anything helps. She handed me a $10 bill and her name and address and asked me to add her to our yearly donation drive. I love when people show the goodness in their hearts.
