Today I was working and stopped at my Portofino account.. A wounded soldier his wife and his military dog (hero) were with him.. They were laying by the pool. I watched as his faithful companion lay in the blazing sun just to be close to his master and BFF.. Now the couple strategically placed themselves near a tree so the dog would have shade.. Ohhh this dog was not having any part of that.. The bar manager Zach saw what was going on.. He immediately got a bowl of water and moved a large umbrella over to shade the 4 legged hero.. I walked over to them shook their hands and paw.. Thanked all 3 of them for there service! Went back to my bar and told the servers to put the couples lunch on my tab. I was amazed at the people at the pool who walked passed them without even a glacé.. It was very cool to see the wounded war vet and his faithful companion sharing a beautiful day at the pool.. And the service vest the 4 legged hero wore was a VFW with Stars and Stripes vest!! And you could tell... He loved his master and BFF... Amazing
