Today I will share with you the best (aka my moms) recipe for tasty German Christmas Cookies called Zimtsterne [german for cinnamon stars]! ◦°˚\(*❛‿❛)/˚°◦ #aCosplayersChristmas If I hadnt eaten all those I made yet, I would also post a picture but they are very delicious and I ate them all myself. HAH So what you need is: 3 white of the egg 250 gram powdered sugar (plus some extra powdered sugar for rolling out the dough) 350-400 gram ground almonds (unpeeled, not white) 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (I usually add more) You whip the white of the eggs together with the 250g powdered sugar until the mass is thick and glossy white. You put away a cup of it for later use. Then you put the almonds into the rest of the white mass and stir and knead thoroughly. Sprinkle some powdered sugar onto the table you want to roll out the dough upon, otherwise it will stick to the table! Also put some powdered sugar on top of the dough so it wont stick to your rolling pin! Roll it out - the thickness depends on what you prefer. I like 0.5-0.7cm. And then you use your star-shaped cookie-cutters and go wild! If you have placed them safely on the baking sheet (with baking paper plz), you can retrieve the cup with the white goo you made before and brush that stuff onto the cookies. Now you put them in the stove for 10 minutes at 150°C and afterwards enjoy the cinamonny goodness of the Zimtsterne. Preferably with a mug of Glühwein (hot spiced wine)!! MMmmmmmmh~
