Today I would like to give a shout out to my friend Danny Brewington Danny was the first person I ever did a scene with. We were Sophomores at Hendersonville High School . (Back then High School started when you were Sophomores) The drama teacher said there was a district competition coming up and he asked the seniors to prepare scenes. Danny and I were unclear about the instructions so we prepared a scene too. When District came around we signed up. The teacher was not happy. He had a rule that only Seniors could go. But it was too late we had sent in our application and been accepted by the District. Well long story short that little scene ended up getting 2nd in the state. The next year Danny was transferred to a new High School without a theatre department. But that didnt stop this amazing young man. He marched in to the principals office and demanded they have a school play. The principal said we dont have a drama teacher. Danny said..No Problem. Ill produce it And he did! Growing up wanting to be an actor in a small town it was important to have friends like Danny. People who dreamed big. And put the muscle behind his dreams to make them happen.
