Today Im extra thankful that I no longer work for the man. I am my own boss. I set my own hours. I can put my kids needs first. Their grandmother is dying. Theyve heard her screaming in pain. Theyve seen their father cry. Theyve seen their grandfather broken. Theyve seen a woman they love more than anything suffer and know she wont be around for much longer. Tonight as I watched them cry and tried to comfort them and then watched their Dad tearfully try to do the same my heart was ripped into a million pieces. Im thankful that this week I can spend time with them and try to keep them busy and when I get that horrible phone call I can put my whole life on hold and be their mom and help them pick up the pieces and not worry about how much PTO I have to use or how much work will pile up waiting on me as I put my #1 priority first. Thank you Beachbody for allowing me to be the Mom my kids deserve and relieve the burden of comforting my girls from my ex as he faces one of the hardest times of his life.
