Today Im mourning the loss of my dear friend Diana Gibson who died - TopicsExpress

Today Im mourning the loss of my dear friend Diana Gibson who died on Thursday. Its hard to believe that she is gone. We had a very contentious relationship that descended occasionally into name calling and throwing things. But under her dramaturgical guidance I wrote eleven of my best plays (Barbie & Ken at Home, Zombie Attack!, Happytime Xmas, Party Mix, Teen Girl, Bitter Women, Pot Mom, The Tent Show, Intervention, Heartbreak Help and Coyote Woman.) We shared an office from 1989 to 1999 and most of the time our days were full of laughs, ticket sales and great lunches (paid for by the TV jobs I started getting thanks to her input.) My ten years at the cast were the most prolific period of my life and she was a great companion and artistic sparring partner. There is a memorial planned for her at The Fountain Theatre at 1PM on Saturday August 2nd (my 50th birthday). I hope anyone who knew us back during the CAST Theatre days will show up to pay their respects to the person who started me on the path.
