Today Im thankful that my parents made me go to church as a kid. Im glad they shoved their values down my throat. I have found during the toughest times in my life that Jesus will bring to my memory hymns that I learned as a child. I can almost feel the red fabric of the pews of my childhood church, see the choir in their robes (including our sweet Mr. Jon) and envision my daddys single hand holding the pages of the golden embossed hymnal open to share with my mama and me as I sing these songs. These hymns have woven their notes and words in the fibers of my heart and I draw strength and faith from them even today. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus has been my current go to.
