Today Ive cried both happy tears and sad tears... is that crazy?? Ill tell you what, one person can sure have a hell of a lot going on in their life all in the same few moments...its kind of unbelievable some days... Take what Mom tells me for instance. Shes been talking a lot about her little brother Stanley Roman that passed away when he was just 1 or 2 years old...they had no screen doors and lived in a log cabin, and while Mamaw & Papaw were out working it was Moms job to take care of the kids...and while he was very sick before he passed away, Doc Clifton told Mom she needed to sit on the bed and make sure the flies stayed away from him, so thats exactly what she did every day. She remembers that to this day. On the flip side, while I was giving her a bath the other day I accidently bumped her and almost knocked her off balance...I was like, Well my gosh Mom Im sorry!! Did I hurt you? She says, No you didnt hurt this one. Im a tough old lady. You should have seen how hard we played when we were little. Then she went on to tell me how they used to run barefooted every chance they got and split right through the creeks and over the fences and everything, and I was laughing saying I couldnt imagine her splitting through the creeks and jumping fences. Then she says, Naw, Im just making it all up as I go, I wasnt all that tough... and she busted out lauging. So yeah, I guess thats what this lifes made up of, the happy tears and the sad tears...and enjoying each other through the happy ones so well have the strength to help one another through the sad ones... Please keep my sister Teresa and her kids in your prayers tonight and always... I just cant imagine what theyve been going through the past week.
