Today Ive lost my best friend. I feel as if my heart has been ripped out. We shared 57 years together. As we grew from kids we moved beyond the childhood playmates to friends that shared thoughts and ideas. When we hit preteen and teen years we played sports together, the perfect tomboy duo. I remember playing tennis racquet ball one summer day and having to sneak into my house after finding out the I had entirely warn out my new sneakers. Tina struck up a lengthy conversation with my mom to distract her. Years later my mom told me she had seen the sneakers and wondered where she would find money to get me a new pair but she didnt want to embarrass Tina in her valiant attempt to save me. What friends do for each other. We shared the good times and bad. The discussions of boys, then husbands, then kids, and on and on. It seemed as if we would finish each other thoughts and had the same solutions to the problems we saw in our lives. We looked to grow old together. I know she is at peace after a lengthy battle but it does not take the pain away. I will miss her terribly. I love you Tina
