Today (July 14) is the last day of "Tall Ship Celebration: Bay City. From 10am-5pm you can visit the Saginaw River Marine Historical Society info/sales tent at Veterans Memorial Park (on the west side of Bay City) with items for sale that are related to Saginaw River Rear Range Lighthouse, including T-Shirts, sweat shirts, denim shirts postcards, photos, as well as books related to the Saginaw River and Great Lakes Lighthouses. Also, we have "Great Lakes Unsalted & Shark Free®" T-shirts (90% Cotton, 10% Polyester) and "Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival 2014 Calendar" (the photo for the month of January features Saginaw River Rear Range Lighthouse). All items available while our supplies last. Located next to our information/sales tent at Veterans Memorial Park, there is a tent where we help kids build model lighthouses from kits. It is great to see them use their imagination on how a lighthouse should look Also, we have on display in Veterans Memorial Park the 1913 Defoe Motorboat (it was built in Bay City and is the oldest known Defoe boat in existence), the 1951 Bay City Boats, Inc. Pre-Fab Boat and our lifeboat. PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO public tours of Saginaw River Rear Range Lighthouse today (Sunday, July 14). Thanks to those who were able to visit the lighthouse on Friday and Saturday (July 12 and 13).
