Today MANIFESTA 10 was at Kings College London for a series of lectures centred around the theme ‘Can Contemporary Art Mix With Old Masters?’. Following a press conference in which the main features of MANIFESTA 10 and the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg were highlighted, visitors moved on to the Safra Lecture Theatre where lectures were given by Dr. Neil McGregor (Director, British Museum), Hans Ulrich Obrist (Joint Director, Serpentine Galleries), Prof. Sarah Wilson (Curator, Courtauld Institute of Art ), Ekow Eshun (Creative Director, (Calvert 22 Foundation), and Dr. Dimitry Ozerkov (Head Contemporary Art, State Hermitage Museum).
