Today Meridian has slashed their buy-back rates for solar, just like Contact Energy did last week. Kiwis are going solar in their thousands to escape rising power bills and now the big electricity companies are using their power to discourage it. Its a total Wild West and we need a Solar Sheriff, to act as an independent umpire to ensure fairness and certainty for Kiwi families and small businesses going solar.
