Today, October 25, 2013, would have been my Papas 90th birthday. He was the absolute best man I have ever known, and I have never loved anyone in the same way that I loved him. He made me feel safe. He trusted me. He nurtured my creativity. I never ONCE heard him raise his voice to anyone, and he was dearly loved by everyone he met - even if they only met for a few seconds (and he passed that trait on to my mom.) Papa would sit and drink coffee at Dennys and all the waitresses would dote on him. We would go to Disneyland and sit in the corner table at the Plaza and I would drink half and halfs for an hour. He would take me on the rides on which he didnt really want to go, just because I wanted to. He was an incredible artist and had the best/worst puns ever. We lost him, today, October 25, 1996. I miss him every day.
