Today, PFLAG of Jacksonville board members Frieda Saraga, Garry Bevel, and Deanna Iovino participated in a training which included JASMYNs Executive Director, Cindy Watson, UNFs Director of Mental Health Counseling Program, Dr. Richmond Wynn, Jacksonvilles System of Care CLC Trainer, Selena Webster-Bass, and JASMYN youth Justice Long. The Training titled Through a Mental Health Lens: Creating Safe Spaces For LGBTQ Youth cover a vast amount of information for professionals from foster care, mental health, health care, school, and juvenile justice. This was a joint effort by multiple agencies working over the last 5 months to provide training to providers working with LGBTQ Youth. Thank you to everyone in attendance and all facilitators.
