Today, Pat surprised me with our Date Day....we first went to 5 & Diner and had Parisian omelets...then we headed to the Musical Instrument Museum here in Phoenix where they were doing a tribute to France....there were French singers, French accordion players, a French sax quartet among the many interesting displays of musical instruments, dances and music of many cultures. We had strawberry and cream cheese crepes for lunch and continued with our touring of the museum (which we found out just could not be completed in one day--so more outings planned for the future------AND anyone ever visiting Phoenix must put this on your bucket list!!!) Then we had homemade hoagies on baguettes for supper with tartes de fruits. Our movie for the evening was Les Miserables----and come to find out....the whole reason for this was due to my French (Canadian) heritage and that BASTILLE DAY is tomorrow. He is a true marvel!!! So my SOD must be: Do You Hear the People Sing from Les Miserables and the QOD is: When people sing together, community is created. Together we rejoice, we celebrate, we mourn and we comfort each other. Through music, we reach each others hearts and souls. Music allows us to find a connection. (Peter Yarrow)
