Our Hearts were full and the blessings rained down on me and my classmates on this faithful day when Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. visited us in 1968 at South Side High School in Newark New Jersey. A day we shall never, ever, forget. Escorted by white officers, protecting him as he was surrounded by his entourage of great civil rights leaders entered our small auditorium and delivered his speech instead of Burn Baby Burn, we were challenged to Learn Baby Learn. From that point forward I feel in love with this great man and his ideology. I thank God for this Man and his Courage ! I was blessed to see and hear him and to celebrate the dedication of his monument on our national mall in Washington D.C. So Proud!
