Today a friend told me about her mothers friend who happens to live in the same apartments that I live in. We all had our rent increased by $200 last month due to the sequester (long story). This left me with very little money but everything that I need. So Im moving into a smaller and cheaper apartment and this woman is moving downtown. She doesnt have any family to help her financially and told my friends mom that she had 23 cents to last her the rest of the month. So today my friend and her mom anonymously sent her $100. I know just about everyone probably has heard stories like this during the last few weeks but I know these people and it really made me feel proud to know my friend and her mom. I am so lucky that I have friends and family that I can count on, unlike many, many people.
