Today after work Larry and I packed little Tater-tot into his carrier cab and drove him to the Fremont Animal Hospital for his first doctor’s visit. Tater has learned to like his animal carrier and he enjoyed the ride without a whimper. In fact, when we arrived for his appointment Larry had to tip the carrier upside down to get the little hash-brown out. We were greeted by Emily, a young blonde assistant, who weighed Tater at 6.8 pounds and then brought us back to an examination room where Tater tensely, waited for Dr. Lynem. We knew Dr. Lynem from previous visits we had with Duke and knew we were in good care. Tater unwillingly laid himself down on the examination table while Larry and I learned a few details about our new boy. He is not the Pomeranian and Bichon Fries mix we thought we bought from Mr. Yoder. Tater is a mix of Shih Tzu and Dotson and is only about 16 weeks old! Dr. Lynem completed Tater-tot’s physical with a vaccination, worm medicine and sent him home with a Milk Bone dog biscuit, which he absolutely loved. Tater-tot is now away from the distress and home snuggled in his favorite spot; atop the throw pillows on the living room sofa. Nite-nite Tater-tot
