Today at Seaway Park in St.Lambert, 8 brave souls attempted to complete 1000 meters of LONG JUMP BURPEES!!!!! Mark Wallis finished first with a time of 59 minutes. He beat me by 4 minutes and 40 seconds! Yasamin Khosravisaeed finished third 10 seconds behind me!!! Mai Ly Vo Van finished about 5 minutes after Yasamin. Lucie F Wellard had to call it quits after the blisters on her hands became unbearable. Stuart Turbyne and Kathy Bitzas gave everything they had! Just showing and attempting is awesome! And Annie Cadorette put on a clinic!!! Her long jumps and burpees were beautiful to watch! She never gave up, over heated, exhausted, and suffering...she finished in 1 hour and 25 minutes!! Super proud for everyone showing up! It was one of the most challenging things Ive ever done! We each did about 650 burpees! INSANE!!! And what can you say about Mark Wallis???? He came to bootcamp one year ago...lost 50 pounds AND NOW IS THE GRAND CHAMPION OF THE 1000 METER LONG JUMP CHALLENGE!!!! He beat me and Yasamin by about 4 minutes! Truly a remarkable achievement for a guy who had a huge gut 12 months ago!!! Next challenge is the stairs at Mont-Royal, the first Sunday in October!
