Today at church I was blessed with a devotional book, this nice lady said theres a poem in the book her mother gave her awhile back she wanted me to have it. Its so beautiful it really touched my heart & is helping me deal with the path god has chosen for me. THE WORLD IS MINE Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful women. And wished I were as beautiful. When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed, she passed a smile. Oh, god, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs;the world is mine. I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it to me had such charm. I talked to him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, itd do no harm. And as I left, he said to me, thank you, youve been so kind. Its nice to talk with folks like you. You see, he said, Im blind. Oh, god, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is mine. Later while walking down the street, I saw a child I knew. He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment then I said, Why dont u join them dear? He looked ahead without a word. I forgot, he couldnt hear. Oh, god, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears; the world is mine. With feet to take me where Id go. With eyes to see the sunsets glow. With ears to hear what Id know. Oh, god, forgive me when I whine. Ive been blessed indeed, the world is mine. Dear lord, teach us to be thankful for all that you have given us. Help us to be content with what comes from you, remembering that what you choose is better than what we choose. You are the potter and we are the clay. Turn our lives and do what in your divine knowledge is best for us. Lord, I trust you... let your will be done in my life.
