Today at lunch, we realized we were in the middle of a butterfly migration. Its not easy to photograph butterflies in flight, so I didnt get any snapshots. However, I did sit there, entranced, for a good thirty minutes, just watching the butterflies as they seemingly drifted by. They were not, however, drifting. Their flight was purposeful. All going in the same direction. All flying low to the ground, until reaching an obstacle, then up and over before returning to the low flight path. THIS was an astounding experience and I lament that I could not photograph them. Sometimes, we just hide all these things in our hearts and ponder them. WOW. I am amazed!
