Today at my show deinstallation at Pacific University I discovered - TopicsExpress

Today at my show deinstallation at Pacific University I discovered that at least six people, or six fingers anyway, had simply NEEDED to know whether the sand in Desert Mandala Machine was really not fixed in place. (translation: a bunch of people had evidently poked the sand at some point during the run of the show). Im simultaneously thinking ha! and, Really? You couldnt keep your hands off an art piece precisely because it looked like you might disturb it but had to be sure? While I officially find the act rude and inconsiderate, I have to admit that I make a lot of work that practically dares or teases people to touch, break, or otherwise disturb it.
