Today attended workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction at New Delhi after back from USA. I want to clarify on some spurious news spread by some antagonistic elements on Chinese Presidents Visit. 1. Home Ministry has no direct issue for MoU to be signed with China so only related Ministers participated during ceremony with President Xi Jinping. 2. Theres no order for North-East people to stay away. In fact children from NE also interacted with Chinese first lady at Tagore School. We should understand that Tibetans across the country were emotionally charged & ready to go to any extent to to protest during the visit. We must know that any incident due to security lapse could cause unthinkable damage to India. Hence unprecedented security was put up & restriction was around for Tibetans only. 3. Some people want Modi ji to send forces and throw out Chinese from transgressed area. Our weaknesses in border areas and strength of our forces because of last 68 years of weak policy cant be overcome in few months. We should know what would be the result effects if we use forces and also we should know the Chinese strength. More matured comments & understanding of reality is necessary. Our govt & Im committed to our national cause. Humiliation will not be accepted.
