Today has been an awakening to where we really are working. We spent the afternoon with the Sister missionaries driving from one home to another to learn where the various members of the church live. Since there are no addresses, You just have to remember where they are by landmarks and memory. We got to one spot where the members live across the river, crossing a rickety bridge that people would pay money in an amusement park, but this was for real. When we got to the other side, we saw one of our members with her two of her sons collecting wood to take to their small shack for fire and cooking. I suggested we go and help, so we did! It was unbelievable. You can see Lynda crossing the bridge, and then all of following the Mom (yellow dress) down the rocky river path, and up the mountain path, and into the area of the house where 12 people live! I took a picture of Lynda, the sister missionaries with us, and a young girl and her baby who live there with the rest of the family. I am grateful for the inspiration to cross the bridge and take a look. We made it back, and we have a nice picture by the river. Wow. Very humbling to see how the people live.
