Today has been interesting, Starting this morning when two different pangolins had been brought in by locals. The one, a Black bellied Pangolin and the Other a white bellied. The WHite bellied had her foot caught in a cable snare which had obviously broken and she had escaped the initial trapping, only to be found some days later by a Baaka woman who brought her to the camp. The foot was badly swollen and necrosis had set in. Fortunatly for us, the are two researchers staying here right now, and even more fortunate for the pangolins is they are both Vets. We are holding the injured animal for a few days to monitor its progress.
