Today in Leon, treating myself to a 5 star hotel, the Parador San Marcos. Arrived before noon but still waiting for my backpack! Walking around here in my dusty boots. So many hightlights so far.... ....homemade dinner in Bercianos with my adoptive parents, dancing to Abba, partying with Rita the goat! ....making connections with others whose families have been touched by breast cancer ....getting a note today here from my Aussie sisters Deb and Lizzie who werer here two days ago but have moved on. Do not have their email addresses! Hope Lizzie kept mine. ....lunches along the way as everyone shares whatever they´ve got in their pack that day The concierge here showed me his signed photo of Martin Sheen who stayed here when filming the movie The Way. He just now arrived with my backpack! Time to shower and change. The highlight of the day!
