Today in a moment of weakness Kay, my dear friend/seamstress had a mini meltdown. She has been sewing non stop since Wednesday. A bad shoulder and now a ear ache got the best of her. In frustration trying to make something work she cracked and tears started to flow. She got up from her sewing machine and I immediately hugged her, thanked her for all her hard work & placed her in a chair. Her daughter Becky Meyer-Menolascino and I sat down to see what we could do to help after 5 minutes or so Kay got up , said very loudly and forceful. IVE GOT THIS !!! We backed away and made room for the pro. Im sharing this part of the day because its real! Every emotion is raw. There is a mission and a passion and when each stitch is made and,something takes shape it hits you like a arrow thru the heart. A. Selfless women donated their wedding dresses. B. Ladies donate their time and talent. C. Some baby/child will pass away. D. Some parent will have to sit in a room and choose items from sweet send aways and E. There will be a need for more items. Please send some love to Kay. Pray for strength and health. Her tireless effort is what will knock the ball outta the park when we meet with CHW Tuesday morning. Thank you Kay, I love you.
