Today in our church attendance at New Life Assembly the congregation was challenged to share our experience as a Christian. 1st off everyone of us serve a wonderful LORD GOD ALMIGHTY the GOD of all gods. Im proud to serve HIM as HE paid the ultimate price to save a sinner like me. I am sharing this with all of you as you have become part of my life! The following is a letter I wrote back in 1971: To My Heavenly Father October 17, 1971 Twenty-six years ago, birth was given to a boy whom had no idea what he was really receiving. The first few years of this boys life seemed to be very happy for this young man. As time seemed to fly by through his childhood days, he was guided to go into the house of our wonderful Lord, to learn of his beautiful teachings. This boy really wasnt sure why he was going to church, outside of the fact his parents told him this was the right thing to do. When this boy became a teenager he thought he knew everything. He really was quite conceded, though at this time he didnt think so. Soon this boy started choosing a different life to live, he quit going to church and started living as Satan would have him live. When he approached the age of 17 he met a very fine young lady and fell in love with her. This boy had a bad influence on others, but the girl didnt seem to mind. Suddenly on a beautiful summer night this boy broke one of the commandments of his heavenly father. He took advantage of this sweet girl. He did love her very much though and he married her. She tried showing this boy that he was leading the wrong type of life, but he just seemed to be too blind to see it. Finally this young woman quit leading the type of life that should be led. This couple seemed to enjoy all the worldly possessions that they wanted. Satan really enjoyed seeing them drift away from their most heavenly father. This couple seemed to wander around in the darkness for about 9 years, in their sinful ways, but the Lord never turned his back on this confused couple. One Spring day in North Dakota this couple was laying in bed, when the young man awoke hearing the church bells ringing. He immediately got out of bed and proceeded to get dressed. His wife asked him where he was going and he informed her he was going to church. Her reply was You dont go to church. He said Well, this morning Im going and he left. He must of really got something out of the sermon that morning, because his life started changing from that day on. On their return trip home to Nebraska the young man thought about it and what it meant. He used the excuse that he was searching for a church for his wife & children, all the time knowing that he was really wanting to know about his Savior. Certain things took place during that year and October 17th 1971 this young man accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior and was born again for Christ. Now the majority of his family have accepted Jesus and are serving Him. Im so thankful that Jesus died for my sins and that I might have eternal life, by believing in Him. Praise the Lord!
