Today in the press meet, at Shastri Bhavan, our Ministry announced the completion of its first 100 days under the leadership of our Honble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the new government led by him. The primary agenda of our Ministry is to ensure development and progress from the grass root level. Our Ministry is committed to ensure growth and opportunities for our country people in Skill development, Entrepreneurship, Sports & Youth Affairs. Sports in India should be made a way of life. With this vision in mind a number of schemes have been introduced this year, ensuring better training facilities and programmes for our athletes. It is our utmost responsibility to ensure that our athletes and sports persons get all the support from our government so that they can excel and compete to win at Global Games.. Skill Development which is the newly introduced ministry has been created to mitigate the problem of unemployment in our nation, by skilling our people as per the requirement of the global market. SKILL INDIA & MAKE IN INDIA are the two most important mission taken up by our Honble Prime Minister, to ensure overall development of our nation. The vision to have indigenous growth and create more job opportunities for our people, within the country, will help us achieve our target to skill our Nation & empower youth. India is a young nation with more than 65 percent of the population, below 35 years of age. This pool of talented people need the right direction and good governance to achieve their dream. With the help of our young and enthusiastic volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and National Service Scheme (NSS) , we aim to engage our youth into the nation building process.
