Today is Autism awareness day, and April is marked as Autism month. Whether you have a child with autism or on the spectrum, I encourage all of you to take a few minutes today to look up an article, Google it, and reach out to a parent or friend with a child affected by it. As the percent of children affected rises each year, almost everyone knows someone that has been touched by it. I also would like to recognize every child that we know, and celebrate their accomplishments that have any kind of disability. Feel free to share this post, and comment with the name of someone affected and a great quality that they have! I am curious as to how many times we can get this shared and names one the list....I will comment with my daughters story first to get us going. Finding the beauty in each and every soul is easy when you have an opened mind and the willingness to accept every situation for exactly what it is.
