Today is D-Day, June 6th, named after the Normandy Invasion of WW - TopicsExpress

Today is D-Day, June 6th, named after the Normandy Invasion of WW II in 1944. Over 156,000 men landed in France of the Allied Forces; Over 10,000 died that day of the Allies. The liberation of France from the Germans began. Statistics of that day are amazing, as it was the largest invasion during war in the history of the world. All of this was a result of a wrongheaded idea, a belief that evolved into a political system, Nazism, that developed into a war by one man, Adolf Hitler. Ideas have consequences; wrong ideas can, do, and have had very serious consequences. World War II is the classic example. That is why it is a matter of life and death that our ideas, our belief system, is one that is true, one that is good, one that is life-saving, not life-destroying. That is why we should embrace the belief system of the Bible. Spiritual Warfare consists of the battle, not with guns and warships, men and machines, but rather the battle over ideas that conform to the Bible or ideas that contradict the Bible. It can’t be put much simpler than that. That is why Christians must be taught how to engage in spiritual warfare, how to promote the belief system of the Bible, and how to defend the attacks on that belief system. This warfare encompasses every human being on earth. It is the battle of good over evil, God over the devil, heaven over hell. That battle is raging every day, in every place, and at all time. There is no exception. Given the big picture, lets shrink the universe and see how this applies to you and I. Jesus Christ has commissioned us (Christians) to take the message and belief system of the Bible, the gospel, to every human being on earth. That is the Great Commission of the church. There are no exceptions, and no excuses. Since we live in a parallel world of good and evil, truth and error, it is our commission to refute and rebut the strongholds of wrong belief, wrong ideas, wrong everything that contradicts the Bible. More specifically, we are to be witnesses of the truth, the gospel, and persuade others to embrace that truth. We have been given all the armor necessary for defense, and the Word of God, the weapon for offense. By the steady and steadfast proclamation of the gospel, the publishing of the good news, the spread of the gospel throughout the world, those who seek God will find Him and be saved. Those who do not will be damned. This is what God has called us to do, and every one of us is an evangelist. It is paramount that we focus on this mission, and take the focus off of ourselves. Spiritual naval gazing is a bottomless pit. Focus today on that lost soul next to you, and realize that hell is their destiny if they are not persuaded to embrace the gospel. Let the revival of Biblical Christianity begin. Billy Falling, pastor, The Internet Church.
