Today is Fathers Day. While we honor and celebrate our earthly fathers and stepfathers and grandfathers, we should keep in mind that all fatherhood comes from the model of God the Father. All fathers should imitate our heavenly Fathers love and righteousness and justice and mercy. Psalm 95 does not specifically refer to God as Father, but verses 1-7 show us how we should respond to Gods almighty fatherhood manifested in the wonders of creation: O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
