Today is Johns birthday. He would have been 57. I like to put something up every year. The place: his apartment, Los Angeles. The year: 1984. Accompanied by my brother Vinnie, he attempts to cover the Bergmans beautiful ballad You and Me from Sinatras Trilogy Album released in that same year. (It became a favorite of Franks and of Tony Bennett) Audio quality is not the best here. The camera and mic are crude. But as always he nails it. I always admired how he could seduce the camera too. Those of you family & friends who knew him well will probably well up. Those of you who never met him, well you can just tell this guy had it goin on. He was a monster talent.
