Today is October the first, which starts nation vaccine damage awareness month. I am sharing a few facts about what happened to John. He was born normal, apgar of 10, alert and turned his head as soon as he was born in the direction of voices. The doctor there for delivery remarked that he was usually alert, bright and was going to be a lot like his older brother. John was a happy person with a big smile and self confidence. He was an early talker, who was pointing to objects at 12 months and ask Whats that? and repeated what you told him. Despite this, there was an under current that had us confused. John had been quick to pull himself into a sitting position (3 months) and quick to crawl, yet he lost those abilities at 9 months and was diagnoses with late onset cerebral palsy. When I ask what happened, I was told We dont know, some kids just stop development and dont gain physical skills any longer. The truth, however is found in the adverse effects of the Dpat vaccine, CP is listed as a side effect. Despite having newly developed gross motor skill issues, John fine motor skill was nothing short of amazing for his age. He could work puzzles, he could draw tiny circles on paper, he also was advanced in speech, testing above average in all speech related areas. Going into his second year I was more worried about having enough time to listen to him ask a million questions than worry about his gross motor skill delays. I did not want him to have the MMR, and he got it more or less at verbal gun point. When CPS is held over your head...you fold. I folded. It was the worst mistake of my life, and changed Johns forever. With in 3 months of the MMR he had lost so much weight he was listed as failure to thrive. His skin broke out in huge red patches, breaking open and bleeding. His hair fell out in clumps. He screamed endlessly...he had chronic diarrhea. He fought very, very hard to stay with us. I was frantic, changing his food, running to doctor to doctor reading everything I could. Then autism struck. Not all at once...in phases. One minute he was with us, talking and playing, the next he was glazed over, seemed both blind and deaf for a period of time, then snapped back. Slowly over 3 months, the autism spells grew longer in duration and closer and closer together until the morning of 12-26-94 and he was gone. Life for our entire family changed that day. Frantic to recover John I did everything I knew to do, starting with Sonrise...but what John needed...was medical in nature...not therapies and training. The day I learned he was truly vaccine damaged came shortly after he turned 3. I was doing independent lab work and needed blood drawn. My doctor had agreed to this, but was called away. The doctor who replaced him was angry at me for doing my own research...the ask me why. I told him I had no answers and was going to get them...He sent the nurse out of the room, shut the door, got in my face and told me Your son was vaccine damage, there is nothing you can do. In short, those facts were in Johns medical files, but it had never been reported, or did the MD have any intention of reporting this or helping us get compensation. For the record...we were tossed out of court before our case was even heard. That day the direction of help for John changed..and yes it has taken 20 years to gather all the keys...vaccine damage is very complex...But we will not give up on John....that killer confidence he was born with, is still very much a part of him and has helped carry him this far. Ill stop working to recover him when he is recovered or I am dead which ever comes first. Today I ask that you think before you vaccinate. Today unlike any past Octobers we know the CDC has lied, covered up and changed facts about vaccine safety, and the connection between vaccines and autism. Dont allow your child or grandchild to go down this road...its long, heartbreaking, and more expensive than Harvard. Please respect those disabled who lost their normalcy to vaccines.
