Today is Pearl Harbor Day. One of a few days of remembrance throughout the year to honor the fallen. Today Id like to remember my cousin Charlie Higgins who fell a few days ago. He fell by his own hand, but more than likely a casualty of war. I salute you and thank you for your service to country and the many sacrifices youve made. I didnt have brothers or sisters growing up, so my cousins were a very fitting substitute. This was like losing a brother, a distant brother, but a brother none the less. I love you brother. He leaves behind a lovely wife and amazing kids. If you pray, I ask you to pray for them. I also URGE you if you have family or friends thats served, or if youve served yourself please open up and talk to them. You are NEVER in this alone! There IS help out there and asking for it is NOT showing weakness. Remember, some of our worst scars you cant see.
