Today is World AIDS Day -- a day where we come together to remember those weve lost to HIV/AIDS and to continue the fight against this terrible disease. Federal employees continue to be a big part of this fight. The Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief member Federal agencies and partners have been crucial in supporting the 2014 theme of “Focus, Partner, Achieve: An AIDS-free Generation.” In 2014, PEPFAR supported HIV testing and counseling for more than 56.7 million people and is supporting a total of 7.7 million men, women, and children on life-saving HIV treatment worldwide.
