Today is a day I will never forget! One year ago today was Sunday, May 26th. My last day on earth with my baby, Easton Holbrook Whipple. Easton was a little fussy compared to his normal cheery self. He wanted to be held ALL morning, literally. I was getting frustrated because Nathan Whipple was gone at meetings and I was having a hard time getting ready for church with all the kids, since Easton wanted to be held all morning. He had been waking up in the night the past few nights also, so I figured he hadnt been feeling well. I did hold him and just didnt get my make up on or hair blown dry. At church we always sat with the Nicole Boren Collins family, but they were out of town this day. I got to snuggle Easton during sacrament meeting, which I normally didnt get the pleasure of doing. He ALWAYS left me to be with Nicole Boren. He loved her so much! As he fussed a little I just kept snuggling him and he finally conked out! I remember watching him sleep in my arms and thinking how peaceful and gorgeous he looked. Angelic really! I kept kissing his forehead and just enjoyed watching him sleep in my arms. After church we went to grandma and grandpas. Nathan got a few pictures of Easton snuggling Beckett. Nathan Whipple left to visit a family in our ward. We played on the swing. He would say higher the entire time. He loved to fly through the air and almost hit the branches! That boy had no fear! We enjoyed some kickball and Beastie even kicked and ran a few times. He and Briar then left the game to play inside and help themselves to grandmas goodies. I left kickball to check on them and found candy bar wrappers all over the kitchen. We came back out because cousins arrived. Mindy Whipple and Jonathan Whipple came over, because all the boys were going to camp under the stars on the island. When they arrived all the kids wanted Uncle Jon to push them high on the new tire swing. Easton took turns letting everyone hold him. Even Aunt Mindy Whipple got a turn! Finally Nathan made it back around 8 from visiting a family. He was supposed to be in Bay City for seminary graduation. Thankfully Pete Marianne Allred Martin was willing to go in his place, because Nathan felt like he needed to go see that family. Mindy and Easton played with a fire truck on the floor in front of me as I nursed Beckett. The boys and kids were out back preparing the fire and campout. A few kids came in to get marshmallows. It was close to 9 and the children left the door open for Easton to enter the doors of Heaven.
