Today is a day for giving thanks. Despite the challenges I have been asked to face over the last few months, I see so many things to be grateful for. let me share them with you First, I am grateful for my daughter and son-in-law. They have been my rock. I love you both very much and dont say it enough. My lovely grandson who makes me smile even when I am crying on the inside. His honesty and candor about his uncle Peter constantly reminds me that although we are all terribly flawed, we also bring joy to those around us. Connor has this ability to remind me about how much Peter made a positive difference. I love you Connor. I am grateful for this new life coming. She will bring so much fun and joy. Watching her grow up will be a delight. I cant wait to meet her. I am grateful for all the people at my work who have sometimes quietly and sometimes carefully always let me know that they are there for me and are watching out for me. Those casual, how are you doing today with that recognition is sometimes that boost I need to keep going throughout the day. I am grateful for those new friends that I have made over the last few months. Mostly acquaintances, they have stepped up and made sure that I was OK and didnt let me go to my quiet place too often. Thank you Diana Huster and Diane Hannekin. My sister from another mother, Ann, who always seems to know when I need a call or an email. We have always have this special connection. I so look forward to our trip to spring training this year Lastly, I am grateful for being given the opportunity to love my son for 25 years. I learned so much from having him in my life, patience, patience, patience. I know that his demons are gone and he is at a place where there are no more nightmares, flashbacks, and depression. Rest well my son.
