Today is a very sad day for us at ARM. Our beloved rescued - TopicsExpress

Today is a very sad day for us at ARM. Our beloved rescued rooster, Jerry, who we have been working around the clock to get better from a mystery illness, passed away early this morning. Equally heartbreaking was the intense sadness and abnormal silence and hovering amongst the rest of our flock of chickens, Jerrys baby chicks and our two awesome ducks, as I carried Jerrys body away. Anyone who tries to say that animals have no feelings and they dont understand death the way we do, clearly is missing a sensitivity and intelligence chip. With a heavy heart, I am spending the rest of the day remembering how amazing of, not only a rooster, but a character Jerry was. We know that he felt the love and dedication we all poured into him to get him better. I will miss you my gorgeous boy! You running to my duck calls for mealworms and tilting your head to me as we had our daily chats and more than anything how you always held my hand when I held you. Jerry loved to be on the ATV with his girls and he loved them so much and was always super protective of them. Today truly sucks! Not going to lie and so ive endured so much sadness lately.... So take a lesson today, for Jerry and everything and everyone that you ever lost who was special to you - If you are mad at someone today just let it go! If you love someone or your animals- take the time to show them! Cherish today because tomorrow is never guaranteed! I miss you already baby boy. R.I.P. It will definitely never be the same around here without you :( Just a few pics of Jerry in his glory- (Ocean bob timons pelisse send me the pics you took of him and I!!!!)
