Today is an historic Election Day in WA. Today Abbot could attain control of the senate which I feel would be a devastating blow across so many fronts of Australian life. A devastating blow to any shreds of progressive reform. Firstly, I urge you to vote. Secondly I urge you to consider that in this election you are not voting for leadership of the country but for representation in the senate. Thirdly I urge you to look at your life and what you hold dear about our living in this beautiful state. What makes you proud to be West Australian? For me... Its the majestic Wild spaces. Down south, up north, Broome, the Kimberley, camping, the beaches, the Blackwood. I voted with those places in mind. I want to send someone into the senate from WA who also holds great reverence and vision for protecting our wild places, but also holds a great vision for communities, resources, jobs, transport and trade.
