Today is not only the start of Spring but of National Arbor - TopicsExpress

Today is not only the start of Spring but of National Arbor Week! Arbor Week, 1-7 September, is ideal opportunity to plant indigenous trees as a practical & symbolic gesture of sustainable environmental awareness. During the course of Arbor Week, we will be sharing a fun fact each day about the fascinating trees in our conservatories. Fact #1: They are indigenous trees. The Trees in the CTICC conservatories are called Natal Mahoganies, or Trichilia dregeana. These beautiful trees are indigenous to South Africa, and usually grow in more tropical areas, such as KwaZulu Natal. As they do not mind shade they are perfect for indoor growing. The full grown trees can grow up to 35m in height. Facebook or tweet us, @CTICC_Official, how YOU plan to celebrate trees this week!
